"Last Night with Jesse" is a dramatic film about a same-sex relationship between a boy and an older adult. Although a large age discrepancy exists between the two, both come to discover, for the first time, their own sexuality. From instinctual drive, to deep unconscious repression, to overt behavioural expression, the film explores the inner turmoil that is present in both characters. The film also challenges our views against these kinds of relationships by taking on a nontraditional perspective: one which sees how two individuals are more similar than different. It is a story about selflessness and sacrifice--something that very few of us will ever experience.
There are multiple volunteer acting and extra positions. All actors of various ages, races, physical, psychological, and socioeconomic backgrounds are sought to play challenging, non-traditional roles. We STRONGLY encourage those who do not fit the Hollywood actor norm to apply. Some roles may involve sensitive social issues.
If you're interested in auditioning for a role, please do the following. First, email your resume, head shot, and a written statement explaining (1) why you're interested in being involved in the film, (2) what you expect to gain from your participation, and (3) what you have to offer the project.
